BWXT Medical and TRIUMF have been partners for over forty years. Co-located on the University of British Columbia campus in Vancouver, we collaborate and share expertise to bring medical radioisotopes from concept to routine commercial delivery.

BWXT Medical, Laurentis Energy Partners, and Ontario Power Generation work together to produce and ship medical isotopes across the globe. At OPG’s Darlington Nuclear Generating Station, we have installed a Target Delivery System that allows the production of medical radioisotopes in conjunction with OPG’s mission to provide Ontario with zero-carbon electricity.

For over three decades, BWXT Medical and the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) have partnered in bringing medical radioisotopes from concept to routine commercial delivery.

Since 2021, BWXT Medical and Bayer AG have partnered on commercial supply of high purity Actinium-225. We are pleased to support the work of Bayer as a global leader in the rapidly evolving field of targeted radionuclide therapies.

BWXT Medical is partnered with Boston Scientific on a long-term, mutually exclusive, agreement to manufacture TheraSphere™, a medical device used in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The agreement continues BWXT Medical and Boston Scientific’s 30+ year journey with TheraSphere, an innovative therapy that is changing the lives of liver cancer patients, and their families, around the world.

Bracco Diagnostics has been a valued partner with BWXT Medical for over 25 years, relying on us for the production and supply of Strontium-82. This critical isotope is fundamental in the manufacturing of rubidium-82 generators used in important cardiac PET imaging procedures.

For 20 years BWXT Medical and the South African Laboratories for Accelerator Based Sciences (iThemba) have partnered to provide medical radioisotopes from concept to routine commercial delivery.
